755CE Easy Setup & MWave settings & drivers - HELP!!

#1 Post by Bookworm » Tue May 29, 2007 10:20 am

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!!

When will I ever learn???

I know nothing about Windows, '95 or other. I meesed with a bunch of stuff I should have left alone. Now depending on how I try to unmess it, Internet Explorer and the phone dialer both say the modem is being used by another dial-up application or it's not responding. The serial port is just not responding.

What are the correct settings for the serial ports in Easy Setup (the program you can stumble into before you boot up in windows and should leave alone if you know as little as I do!)?

How do I find out if I have the correct driver for the MWave, where on my hard drive would I find it, and if I don't have it, (I think I don't) where do I get it? What com port do I use?

How do I get my serial port to work? It's almost as important as the modem.

By the way I don't need the ir port so if I have to disable it to get something else to work I will.
