IF you mean a 600e, than yes. it is very simple. If you buy it new the wifi card will come with drivers on a cd. IF you don't have the drivers, you will have to download them on a different computer and transfer to 600e as the 600e does not have LAN (Local Area Network) connection.
And by the way welcome to the forum.

If you need more info about your model, go to the lenovo.com website and plug in your model # or let it auto detect your system. The Hardware Maintenance Manual is a must. All you need is there.

Most any PCMCIA (PC Card or 32-bit CardBus) card will work as long as you have the proper drivers for the operating system you are running. Stick with the major brands which have good online support for downloading updated firmware such as, but not limited to, Netgear, D-Link, Linksys, Belkin. Match the wireless protocol (802.11b, g, a or n) to whatever you are using at home/work or expect to connect to. You would probably be safe with a b/g card as I think most access points will use one or the other; not too many "a" systems are in use and the "n" standard has not been finalized (as far as I know).

WiFi
I regularly use a Dlink 650+ on my 600e I have also used an even earlier Dlink.
I tried a USR usb without much success - I think that was due to the adapter really wanting a USB 2.0 port.
I tried a No name card that promised to act as a repeater as well as a wireless card but I think the 600 I tried it in didn't have enough Computing "horsepower" for it to function.

I'm using four Linksys WPC54G cards in various laptops (including my brother's 600E), and it's the best PCMCIA card I've used. Great range and never drops a signal.
