Please help.I have a thinkpad570 which the bios is password protected.I have tried all I can think to bypass it shorting on motherboard ,taking bios battery out/shorting,another h/d.Is it just a bin job?

If you have a power-on password, the HMM has a method to clear that.

If you have a supervisor password, there are methods to hack that, but it takes some money and effort. You might also replace the security chip, which for some machines can be as cheap as $15, and solder that in place. I fixed two 600X's that way... and destroyed a third trying to do that.
