Subcard compatibility 600 600X

#1 Post by cure » Sun Aug 05, 2007 10:04 am

Does anyone have any experience with swapping a subcard from a 600 to a 600X? I am trying to rebuild a 600X that has an, as yet, unidentified screen problem and is missing the connector port on the subcard for sound. The previous owner soldered the wires directly to the subcard which would be fine except that I need to replace the keyboard and am not keen on trying to seperate the sound wiring from it.

Thanx,

In my experience the 600x Subcard and the 600(e) subcard have different orientation on the main plug that attaches to the systemboard - this means they are not interchangeable as they don't fit.
