570E - two vertical lines "behind" the LCD

I can see two vertical wide lines which are showing through the LCD. They are positioned about 2 inches in from the left hand side and run down for about 6 inches from the top. The lines then switch direction by 90 degrees and go toward the left hand edge.

I think it might be an LCD flexi cable BUT I'm not sure why it should be visible "through" the LCD. Its blurred but very noticeable especially on a white screen.

Anybody have any ideas? Is there a fix? Is the LCD missing a "white" background card or something?

Thanks

How bright is your screen? Could you post some pictures?

I'm sure you could put like felt or something behind the monitor if you sealed it within plastic to guard the electronics...

I've tried altering the brightness but the lines are still visible.

I don't have any pics.

Maybe flex cable behind screen has darkened with age or something?

It looks like two shaded greyish 1/8 inch lines behind the LCD running parallel.

you may have ripped your FFC's.

I build projectors from LCD panels every now and then and ive dissasembled a few LCD panels, Not to mention broken a few... lines dont always run all the way through the panel and dont always have thin lines, but if you want you can Disassemble the LCD and check it. it's not all that hard. i have a broken 600x LCD that i can take apart and build instructions with it if you want to try
