Mini-PCI slot bluetooth?

#1 Post by hseaver » Wed Aug 08, 2007 10:05 am

Is there a mini-pci bluetooth adapter available? I've seen one combo bluetooth/wifi adapter made by MSI for the mini pci slot, but wasn't sure if it was just for their laptops or not.

There's no internal antenna for Bluetooth on a 600 or 570. You might be a pioneer and try to add them. (I added internal WiFi to my 600X.)

Neither machine should have a check for specific MiniPCI cards as newer machines do. The 600X for sure does not anyway.

You'll lose your modem, but you can get a PCMCIA modem for faxing and dialup when you have to be tethered to a phone line.

There are numerous internal antennas for bluetooth and wifi on ebay -- the problem is that I'm not finding any bluetooth mini pci other than the one wifi/bluetooth combo. I just want bluetooth. Are there any such mini pci cards?
Losing the modem is no problem for me, I already took it out, and can't imagine ever using it for anything these days, wifi connections are too easy to come by.
