#1 Post by cjssag » Tue Oct 26, 2004 10:03 am

I am unable to save to the floppy because I am now getting a disk write protected message though the disks are not write protected

Any help appreciated.

First try cleaning the floppy drive. Cleaning kits are available at most computer stores and Radio Shack.

Try reseating the floppy drive if it is in the internal bay.

If that doesn't work, see if you can use an external drive (uses a different connector).

If neither of them work, you may need to replace the drive.

If replacing the drive doesn't work, you will need to replace the System Board.

Hope this helps.
