The 710T i bought last week just arrived today, and it's in a really bad shape.

After taking it apart and cleaning it out a few things i noticed:
- the LCD signal cable is torn
- the cable labeled 'Digitizer Conn 1' is missing
- the 60MB hard drive looks dead as well, tried it with an USB adapter

But much to my surprise, it turns out this machine uses a 72pin socket for the FPM RAM. I even have 4MB and 16MB modules somewhere. The official site says it only works with 4 or 8MB modules. Anybody tried with a 16MB before?
Also, any ideas if the missing 'digitizer conn 1' cable is a problem? The HMM shows 2 digitizer cables and the video signal cable on the exploded view.

After assembling it again, i'll try to boot it up.

Turns out the hard disk works fine. Guess the 2 USB ports couldn't supply enough current.

The machine boots like a charm and loads a Win95. It even recognizes the Compaq Netelligent PCMCIA ethernet card.
On the other hand, it does not work with the 4MB FPM memory modules i have. I tried it with 2 different 4MB modules, a 16MB one, and even a 8MB EDO, but none of them work, i get the error code 225. So if not FPM or EDO, what kind of memory does this one use?

twbook.pdf says the machine requires parity memory. Kahlon.com doesn't say much about the memory, but they do have an 8MB part for you for $75. :)

Edgetechcorp says you need 70ns memory, with no mention of parity, for what that's worth.
