LG thinkpad ?? what is it ?

Picked up a i series and on the cover it says LG IBM,,and on the bottom lg ibm,, but also thinkpad i . type 2621-46k.
another one i have same thing with no "lg" on it is type 2621-460.
i have never seen a pad with "lg" on it before,,have i missed something ??

iSeries manufacture was contracted out to 3rd partys, Acer was the one I was aware of but I'm sure there were others.

If you look through the HMMs for T2x, X2x and T4x (as examples) you will see that the LCD covers are listed as W/W (worldwide, I assume) and types xxK or Korea. I think this is the difference in the IBM and LG IBM logos and is probably related to this:
