Hi,

How much MB of RAM does a 600E support? Actually, I'm willing to buy more RAM to my 600E 2645-4AU. Does anybody know what kind of memory, brand, number of pins and all etceterae I need for that and how much MB will it support?

In IBM/Lenovo support site they say that only 256 MB. However, I read that here some users have theirs with more than 500!!

Thanks for any advice,

544MB. 32MB on board (firmly affixed to the motherboard) and two 256MB low density PC100 modules (16 parts on the module). I would recommend staying with any of the major manufacturers of memory (see this thread). Form factor is called 144 pin SODIMM.

What is the model of the 600E? Some models are picky and don't seem to read the additional ram, leaving them at 288mb...

2645-4AU

I didn't think this was one of the "weird" systems that people had problems with. I also have a 4AU and my notes indicate that I currently have 544MB installed. If I can find it later tonight under my desk I will verify that.
