570/E Screen Compatible with 600/E/X?

Hey all, I just bought a 570E with a busted screen. It hasn't yet arrived, but I thought I'd start shopping for a screen.

Do any of you know, or suspect, that a screen from a 600 series would work? Here's why I ask: The 570 and 570E screens have the same part numbers (one by DBU and one by Hitachi). But! The 600 has two screens, the 600E has four, and the 600X has two, but I think all those screens are interchangeable. I'm hoping that since the 570E has the same 13.3" size and XGA resolution and was designed around the same time that it might be compatible.

The 600 series and its parts are much more available. And cheaper.

Once I get the machine, I'll take it and my trusty 600X apart, and if they look very similar, I'll risk it and give it a try. The 600X screen has some very annoying pressure marks anyway.

I've swapped LCDs between 570 and 570E models without any problems. I also thought about putting a 570 LCD into my 600E-- the ribbon cable wouldn't fit. I did read somewhere that the backlight is interchangeable, but I haven't had the time to start that project.

I confirm that 570 & 570E are switchable.

I also confirm that this is not possible between a 570 or 570e and a 600 or 600e or 600x.

As for between a 600, 600e and 600x I would like to know.

Since the part numbers for the Samsung 600E panel is the same as the Samsung 600X panel, I'm going to assert that all 600, 600E and 600X panels are compatible, and that none of them will work in my broken 570E.
