Hi all together:
I have a problem with my TP 570. the screen has a bad vertical malfunction (see pic). But I'm not sure whats the problem.
External monitor is fine, which means I have a TFT problem. But I also noticed a BIOS Problem (Phoenix-BIOS): I'm not able to move devices up and down in the startup menue.
Any ideas?

It looks like a defective LCD panel.

any chance to repair besides replace it?
maybe replace the inverterboard only (there's one on ebay currently)

No chance to repair it. You can try an inverter board, but I am 99% sure it's an LCD problem.

The fact that there is a lighted screen at all rules out the inverter board. If the inverter was defective, there would be nothing visible without shining a bright flashlight directly into the screen.

What you appear to have is a defective cable or lcd. Bottom line is that there is a broken connection somewhere.

If moving the lid back and forth does not change it at all, then I would say it's a 90% probability that the LCD is defective.

Open it up and unplug/re-plug the cable ends (both on the motherboard and the LCD). Make sure you understand how the connectors work. You don't want to break them. Inspect the cable for kinks or other damage. That would rule out the other 10%.

Good luck!
