600e floppy for 560e?

#1 Post by Nesh » Sun Dec 16, 2007 8:12 am

Hi all!

I've had TP 600e earlier and tried external floppy from it on 560e, and it didn't work.
Now i want to put that 560e in use and I need to buy a floppy, which one should I buy?
Everywhere on net people keep saying that floppy from 600e works with 560e, but for me it didn't. Does it require some driver or something? I have an offer for FRU 05k6187, but i'm not sure for compatibility.
Thanks.

Here are the floppies I have that work with the 560E:

FRU 05K8874 ultraslimbay floppy (600E) with FRU 05K2643 or 05K6187 external enclosure/cable.

FRU 05K8989 or 05K8990 floppy with cable FRU 05K2844.

Hope this helps. Cheers...

OK, I just tested my 600E external floppy on my 560X and didn't have any problems.

Thank you people!
I'll buy that FRU 05k6187, but i'm starting to doubt that is something wrong with my machine, because it's not in good condition (some friend of mine dropped it once).
Thank you for your support once again. :)
