Need Help With Bios Update (390X)

I would love to update my bios but the battery is dead on my Thinkpad 390x . Can this be done without a battery.

I just updated the BIOS in my 365X with a stone dead battery, using the AC adapter (plugged into a UPS). I wouldn't recommend it, but it worked for me.

I have leftover set (2) of original IBM recovery CDs for 390x. I do not need it any longer, but you may still find some use for it.
All I will ask is to pay for padded envelope and shipping (~$6.00)
