600X for parts or to part out?

Would welcome opinions and advice.
Have a 600X TYPE 2645-9EU in below average cosmetic condition. My granddaughter dropped it on the headphone jack while the headphones were plugged in. Now there’s no sound from the speakers or headphones. Everything else works. The screen doesn’t show pink at boot and is bright and has no dead pixels, that I can see. The keyboard shows little wear. Other than the lack of sound, it is a functional unit. Is it better to sell it as a parts machine or dismantle it and sell off the screen, keyboard and motherboard?

You will probably get more by parting out than by selling the unit intact especially ,if as you say, cosmetics are below average.
Of course this is also the most hassle.
Factors that would affect the price would be:(aside from screen and keyboard that you say are O.K)
plastics(lid/bezel/bottom etc.)
optical drive/hard drive
external/internal floppy
Ram
Charger and cable/docking station
Any other features ie TV out..valid COA...carrying case..etc.

Check the HMM as I think the sound board is a separate part. If so, it might be cheap to replace just that part.
Or, it may be fixable depending on how it broke. Get out the screwdrivers.

Thanks for the suggestions.
The headphone receptacle is a small black "box" that sits on the MB - it is loose. There doesn't appear to be a separate piece containing the headphone. line-in and microphone connections. Besides, I really have no need for this unit. My granddaughter has a "new" laptop.

If the only thing keeping you from keeping this unit is the lack of a head phone output, check this out:

It's a usb sound card that gives you headphone and optical SPDIF out! It costs around $30 from Amazon. I have it and used it to convert my laptop into a home theater PC for playing back DVD movies on a larger screen.

Yeah I got a 600e, or x...Not sure which it is because the bottom says one thing, and the keyboard says another..
It is in good shape, and I'm going back and forth about fixing it up and keep it as a 2nd laptop, the one to take on vacations, etc. Or just selling it as is...
The 600's are such a good little sturdy machine I love fixing them up and selling them.. This one I think I'll keep for myself...Maybe! I don't know..Possible...
