My old TP 760 XL started to showed problems couple months ago first i loose 3 letters on the keyboard then a couple more one of the internal batteries on the keyboard seems to be gone (mild between conectors) i pull it out, now every time i tried to start it shows batteries error codes and after setting the right date and hour a tentative of starting up is made it starts to show win 98 logo for a few seconds and after that, it shut down like if it enter hibernation mode when tried to reestart a beep sound is made each time i tried to reestart with the button, what can i do???

Sounds like you need to replace the CMOS battery. It's a small battery under the the right palm.
