Replacement cd/dvd need TP770

Hello everyone.
Can anyone tell me where I can get the correct CD/DVD for my TP770 or an alternative that will get me going again, I have been told by a few suppliers that drives for earlier / later machines are compatible but I have my doubts.

it appears that you have what's called UltraBay II. A quick search of eBay shows this one available in the UK:

edit: There's also others being listed in the US, so you might want to look at those sellers who will ship internationally. You could also post a "wanted" ad here in the Marketplace forum.
