iSERIES 1400 2621-460 Battery issue.

My TP would hibernate around 40mins in use with battery between 70%-80%. Will not awake unless AC is plug in. Once plug in it will awake with a message to switch battery or plus in AC with battery life 0-3%.

i1400 owner will varify that it come with stand alone CD Player when PC is off. With the battery at 0-2%, I played Kenny G over and over again throught out the night. I mean literally thru the night almost 24 hours.

How is that possible when the battery is only 2% left. CD player consume minimal juice? Is battery actually more than 2%? Is it actually 70% as it was before the hibernation?

I heard there's something kind of battery memory fix? I even had the CD playing all days/night with the night light on to fully drain the battery and recharge it back up. Still hibernate at around 70% juice.

Has anyone had this issue or heard of it?

Kenny G? What the........ aint so NautT is ya? Just need to calibrate the battery, it's common. Let it run down until the unit turns off. Plug in the brick and let it charge overnight without use. It might take a couple times to get the battery to report it's actual time again. Are your APM drivers up to date (the newest available)? Do you have Battery Maximizer installed?

They dont have battery management for iseries 1400. Unless it will work with this model also.

and the bios, i'll check later if i have the latest one. I noticed it said v 3.0 or something.

Oh, NautTboy - short for nautica boy = the clothing brand, not the boat. Naut-T- just sound much better. :P

LOL. See if you can update as many of the apps and drivers as you can. Again, let it run down, recharge, run down, recharge and see what happens. It should be closer than what's reported.
