390x Motherboard swap

#1 Post by fisherm » Wed Feb 13, 2008 12:32 am

I have a 390x that had a motherboard with a power-on PW. I swapped that motherboard for another one, and now it won't boot period. After everything was reinstalled, I attempted to reboot the machine. Once plugged in the battery light indicates it's charging. Upon powering it on, all the lights on the led board flash one time, hen all go off except for the power light. It stays on until the machine is unplugged. Diesn't sound like it tries to access the HDD, or the FDD like it usually does. I am stumped. I have disassembled it twice and put it back together hoping to find something I forgot with no luck. Any ideas, experience, or advice greatly appreciated.

 I feel so retarded, turns out that (ALL 3 TIMES I DISASSEMBLED IT) I read the HMM wrong and didn't correctly seat the CPU board. All is well now sorry to waste your time if you read this.
