Installing software on a 570 with no optical drive

#1 Post by Wingnut » Wed Feb 20, 2008 11:02 pm

So I have a 570 that I would like to install Word on, but of course it has no CD drive. I have a MS Office 2003 disc. Can I transfer MS office to a USB flash drive and install it from there? I guess my other alternative is to download the files through a PCMCIA network card. Is there a good freeware word processing program? I just need a good word processing program.

Thanks for looking.

That's the easy way, Just make a folder in the USB flasj drive and copy the entire content of the disc and run it from there.

I bought a larger USB flash drive (my other one was full) and did it that way. It worked. Thanks very much.
