Getting DVD's to play

#1 Post by linuxcomputers » Tue Feb 26, 2008 7:59 am

I'm currently trying to get DVD's to play on my own 570e and a friends 600e. They both I'm told, have on-board neomagic graphics cards. But it's not really man enough for that job (only 2 Mb) and and although I've upgraded to Mandriva-Linux I cannot get the sound to work on the 600e just a minor driver problem, something I'm told is down to the quick boot utility causing the driver loading program to mess up. I want to get Linux working as we're both Yachtie's and although C-map works in Windows you would want to use it for something as important as you're Nav software.

I have incorporated a company called linuxcomputersolutions Ltd (Number 6376832). Any computers that go through my hands get Mandriva-Linux fitted. I own a A20m 500MHz, 320Mb, 40Gb and a 800MHz T21 that has 384Mb SDRAM Without a HD or a working screen

I convert them to DIVX then upload em to my 570's. They play like a champ. I just watched Reign on Me last night on the 570E I have for sale.......with a whopping 192MB of RAM. Use the HDD UltraslimBay with another drive as virtual memory (or swap).
R50/52, X20/21/23/24, T23/42/43, 240X, 570, 570E, 770X, 4 760's. + MAC's & SUN's
