Hallo,

I have a 2611-412, and a view technical problems:

- the batterie goes slowly from 100% to ~60%, and then drops extremely fast. this all hapens in ~30 min. Strangely, I can work on 0% for another 20-25 minutes. Gues the "inteligence" of the batterie got lost somewhere...

Is there a fix for this ( besides a new batterie)?

- the USB port went dead. First some of the plastic parts crumbled out of it, but it still worked, now its dead... Is it excangable, or fixed on the mainboard?

Otherwise: can this thing already Cardbus/PCcard 32bit?

A funny thing i noted while looking into the sytem: the emasingly good keybord has a "made by acer" sticker on its backsite!

thanks for any answer,

cheers

Could be a couple of things. I have a ThinkPad 380ED that lets me work on 0% for about 45 minutes and it jumps straight from 80% to 10% with nothing in between. This happens with both LiIon batteries that I have. My computer has the latest BIOS, installed before I got this machine, so I'm guessing whoever updated it did so without a fully charged battery. If you have done any BIOS updates on your comp, just deal with the meter untilo you need to do another BIOS update and mae sure your battery is full.

Another problem can be if you have a NiMH battery. Those things deteriorate after about 2 or 3 years of first getting your laptop.

Another problem can be Windows, it's battery meter does not always report what the ThinkPad has in it's battery meter.

FWIW, my 365X has always behaved like this... even with the factory-original install of WIN95.
