Ok, well I am currently using my 570E at the coffee shop, first time on the internet on it, and it is a little sluggish. I just did all the updates plus SP4 for 2k Pro, and it seems sluggish after updating everything and getting Firefox installed. My question is, how much ram can the 570E take, and what kind is it? I am assuming it is something like PC133 SODIMM, or PC100? It currently has 192MB, and I am assuming even a 256 in place of the 128 will give it a kick. Let me know, thanks!

The biggest you can use is a 256MB PC100 stick. It must be a low-density stick, which has 16 chips, 8 on each side. To ensure compatibility, look for "33L3069" or "33L3070" on eBay.

You sure it's a PC100? I just checked Crucial, and they have it listed as a PC133. Just want to make sure before I buy.

That's because some PC133 sticks are backward compatible with PC100, and Crucial happens to be selling one of these PC133 sticks. But the 33L3070 PC100 would definitely work, and is slightly cheaper on eBay. I owned a 570E before and had a 33L3070 in it.

Awesome. Thanks for the info. Asking these kind of questions make me feel like a dumb [censored]. I am very good with computers, it's just that this is my first "newer" laptop. The last newest one I had was a Satellite Pro with a 233MHz Pentium MMX.
