600, no power supply?

Hello,

I left my 600E connected to the power point for a couple of days (turned off, just the AC connected). And today, when I came back - nothing. The adaptor was pretty hot so I disconnected it to cool off. I removed the battery. Nothing works.
Maybe its helpful to note, that the battery died agos ago.

What can be the reason? What can I do to make it power up again?

Thank you very much for your time,
Martin

Do you have another ac adapter? If you have some other way to check to see if it will power up try it, it could be the ac adapter is bad now.

When I connect the "black box" of the AC to the cable coming from the power point, I hear a "brzzzt". Well, but that doesnt help, does it?

No, I dont have another AC. Any other way to check it?

What is most likely to have happened?

It sounds like your ac adapter is bad. You can get a new ac adapter off ebay for around $15 -$20. I have bought several of them and they work fine.
Hope this helps.
