765d 2.1GB HD, drive fails after 1GB . Occurs with win2k

Ok get this: I have two 765d's each with a 2.1GB drive. I've installed win2k on both of them, but it seems like each HD physically fails around the 900MB point. I can't squeeze out any more from the drives. They work perfectly otherwise, and win2k runs like a a dream. There's just no way i can find to access the remainder of the drive. Again, this is happening on BOTH machines, running completely independant of each other. Both are identical models though

765d, 2.1GB HD, 90 MB Ram, etc.

thanks!!

Are you sure the drives are not partitioned? Boot in DOS and run fdisk. Choose #4 from the menu items to view the drive's partition info. Half of the drive could have been assigned to a non-DOS partition. In this case you will have to delete the non-DOS partition and set fdisk to reclaim all the drive's usable area.

Be aware that when you do this, you will lose all of your data and will have to re-install windows in the larger, reclaimed, and combined partition. If you do indeed have 2 partitions as elevation suggests, use Partition Magic to reclaim the second partition (combine it with the first, workable one) without having to re-install.
