ThinkPad 700c question: reference disk

#1 Post by sb102 » Mon Apr 28, 2008 11:54 am

Hello,

After long months of hunting I finaly bought one of these machines on an Internet auction. After a while spent on it (I had to make it fully operational) I powered it on. During the POST test the BIOS reported a couple of errors and refused to boot. I checked the HMM of the 700c - all of the POST codes require me to restore the system partition from an IBM Reference Disk for the TP 700c (which has to be version 1.10 or above). I checked both Google and the pccbbs that is sticked in the TP Legacy forum, but none of the files placed there (marked as for the 7XX series) suits my notebook. All that I get is a message, that my system will not run the reference disk and asks for a reboot. So my question for You is: can somebody give me a link to the correct Reference Disk ??

Thanks for the prompt reply.

EDIT (for the Mods): You can lock this topic, because the notebook's motherboard got fried and I don't have any spare parts.
