#1 Post by tim » Mon Dec 13, 2004 12:40 am

I can't even get my 600 case totally open. I have unscrewed every screw i can find but I still can't pry it open. What and I doing wrong?! I have system errors 173,192, and 163. They simple appeared one day I tryed to turn my computer on after a long period of being off.

Thanks for any help anyone can give.

You are groping in the dark. Get guidance from the Hardware Maintenance Manual (HMM) for your particular machine. The HMM links can be found in the FAQ of the Open Forum.

Next, read the posts for your particular model in this forum. The solution to your problem(s) could have been discussed in other topics. And if tyou will be stumped further along the way, come back and we'll try to help as best we can.

Hope this helps.

I don't think you need to tear it completely apart.
That sounds like the CMOS battery needs replaced. It is located under the memory cover. Try that first.
