My mother-in-law has a TP600E and can get wireless internet through Bluegrass Cellular.
What do I need to do to get the TP ready for that?
Do I need to get her a wireless card?
If so what kind works best with the TP?
Oh she has winxp on this computer.
Also, I do know that the RAM and the processor are fine because I've had it hooked up to my dls before she bought it, and it worked fine.

Oh I do have a 3com cellular modem pc card with xjack connector, will that help?

Bluegrass Cellular can hook you up; just ask them what you need.
Would this be WiFi or WWAN? They're very different.
In either case, you'd need a card for the 600E. For WiFi, any CardBus WiFi card would work, but 802.11g can go faster than 802.11b. You'd also need a WAP, or wireless access point. Sometimes those are combined with a router in the same package, giving you a wireless router.
For WWAN, you just need the card, and to install the software that comes with it. It will work anywhere you get cell phone reception.

also remember the thinkpad 600 seriouse only have a 16 bit cardbus, and the majority of today's 32 bit card's will not work.

Don't know about a run of the mill 600, but my 600E and 600X have no problems accepting 32 bit cards.

The twbook says that all 600, 600E and 600X systems have 32-bit Cardbus capability. I've not tried any Cardbus cards inside my 600 but I'm pretty sure that the 600E and 600X have used them without any issues.

All CardBus cards are 32 bit. PCMCIA cards are 16 bit. If Ray says the 600 takes CardBus, I'd bet money on it.
