THINKPAD 760XD- DRIVE ACCESSIBILITY

#1 Post by RICKBRIAN » Mon Jun 09, 2008 3:01 pm

THINKPAD 760XD - DRIVE RECOGNITION

I cannot get my Thinkpad 760XD to access either my CD drive nor my external floppy. When I run the diagnostic test it tells me that both drives are OK. Yet the "properties" search shows the CD as
"full" and the floppy as "empty." When I try get on the drives, the message is:"Not accessible; device is not ready." What can I do? Also is there any PCI slot USB drive adapter which is compatible with this old machine? The CBUS adapters won't work.
