Is PC100 256MB Low Density memory conceived for for the Apple Powerbook compatible with the 600X?

Thanx.

Should be, as long as the physical size allows insertion of the module into the 600X. I believe that some of the Apple PC100 SODIMMs were of a "taller" dimension (about 50mm).

This is confusing. The supposedly low denisty memory is described as low density in the text but is clearly photgraphed (see bottom) as high density memory: http://cgi.ebay.com/256MB-Apple-iMac-Po ... 18Q2el1247

Verify from the seller. Some sellers usually post a file photo, and not the actual item. I encountered one recently in which the seller advertised a 20gb drive while the photo is 10gb.

OK, I contacted this seller, and the photo was correct, and the description has now been changed, so KTA-PBG3S/256 and APPLE-256MB-PC100-SO are not low density memory.

The only problem is that KTA-PBG3S/256 is clearly low density as offered for sale here http://cgi.ebay.com/One-256MB-PC100-SDR ... wItem[url] and now sold.

I am thoroughly confused at this point. Perhaps KTA-PBG3S/256 and APPLE-256MB-PC100-SO are not the same thing, despite what the first site claims.

And my specific question, now moot, is whether KTA-PBG3S/256 would work in a 600X. For the sake of posterity, anyone have experience with this?

Thanx.
