TransNote and Non-IBM USB CD Drive

#1 Post by aredubjay » Thu Dec 30, 2004 6:20 pm

Has anyone found a sure-fire way to make the TransNote read a NON-IBM CD drive? I've tried the instructions on transnote.us to no avail. I have an HP cd4e USB drive which reads perfectly . . . when the unit's fired up, however, I've had a hard drive melt down and simply want to be able to use the restore CD's to restore my system files.

I'm bummed. I really love my TN, but, if I can't find a simple fix, I'll have to go shopping. :(
