#1 Post by oski » Wed Sep 10, 2008 3:58 am

Hi,

I have several 240 batteries all dead!!!

Has somebody managed to rebuild dead batteries? And how?

Any information on how to change the cells in the old battery? I did not manage to find any!!!!!

Any comments will be much appreciated.

Cheers

Here's a procedure for an X31 battery. The basics would be the same for any LION Battery. Not sure what's in a 240 ...

Note: Heed all warnings. There is a forum member who does this and he told me that he solders in a special 'fire proof' box. An explosion hazard does exist.

Hi,

Thanks for the link!!!
I opened the case and there are three batteries size similar to the 9V, but with sodered tabs in the top and bottom.
No brand or maker just printed "DBGP6A23609.
Google did not provide any info with this number.
I will keep trying!!
Cheers!!

Yeah - I'm in a similar boat with a 570E battery. Much harder than I thought to find either a regular replacement battery for a reasonable price (i.e. less than I paid for the 570E machine) or a source of the Li-ion cells.

Post here if you get anywhere will you ? I'll do likewise ....
