Says in the Wiki that it has a 2xType 2 or 1xType 3 PCMCIA slot. So any 8 or 16bit PC Card (PCMCIA) should work. Carbus cards will not work. So, your best best is to look for a 16bit Ethernet PCMCIA card. As an example ...

...or this one... click

You don't need a special adapter or cable and, if the is not in use, there is nothing to see - only the RJ45-cable may disturb.

Thanks about that. For auditing, is that card right: http://www.ovislink.com/newovislink/pro ... -PC16D.asp

That card has the right architecture, but I know nothing more about it. For example, does it have a driver for your intended OS.

I have another question but this time something about Linux. (too lazy to do new topic) Can i install DSL(D*mnSmall Linux) to 365XD?
I need to uninstall my other OS or i just need live CD?

And my last question is: Is DSL compatible with IBM ThinkPad 365XD?

Thanks.

The purpose of a Live CD is so that you can try it the OS without modifying your current system.

Personally, I would give Puppy Linux a try. It has a very active forum just like this one where you can get help.

Another thing to consider while buying a card for the 365Xx is the voltage, as it only provides 5V, and some cards (like the 3com wifi card i bought) use only 3.3V.
On the wired side, the Compaq Netelligent 10/100 works fine for me (not sure about the exact type number right now).

I put CD to CD-drive and tried to boot it but I dont see that Puppy Linux on the booting list. I only see Windows NT 4.0 and VGA mode.

Well my question is: What I have to do to get Puppy Linux to the ``booting list``?

You need to set up the BIOS to boot from CD first.

I am running Puppy Linux 4.1retro on my Thinkpad 600E.

I see that you only have 24MB of RAM. That isn't enough for standard Puppy Linux. There may be a variation of it that will work for you. Ask at www.murga-linux.com/puppy/

As for getting into BIOS, hit F1 key at bootup.
