Compatibility of 240 240X lids

I know that there are A and B type LCDs. Also the HMM shows a different part number for the 240X.

Does anyone know if the lids are still interchangeable though?
Current Thinkpads: 600E, 600X, 701C, A31 (Flexview), R51 (Flexview), R60, T42P (Flexview), TR50E, T60 (Flexview), X61s (Ultralight), Z61m (Ti) Non-Thinkpad: Toshiba 100ct

Can't help with your question I'm afraid, but just curious - did they ever do a XGA version of that machine ?

_Very_ nice little thing ISTR ... but not sure I could live with SVGA these days ....

From a physical standpoint the lids are interchangeable. The hinges line up as do the latches. But the lid has to match the screen type because the 4 attaching screw mounts are in different places.

Yes, it's known as 240Z and is pretty rare and expensive...guts are shared with 240X model...
