Just a quick question, is thinkpad memory propritary especially on the older machines (390e) ? Thanks.

looks like the 390e uses pc-66 ram as its standard: http://www.thinkwiki.org/wiki/Category:390E
thinkwiki goes on to say that pc-100 or pc-133 ram, which is easier to find, can be used instead. the ram won't operate at it's higher speed rating, though. the system 'downclocks' it to pc-66 speed.
