600X software question now

#1 Post by vineyridge » Sun Oct 26, 2008 10:02 am

The HD that I'm currently using came with XP Pro and no IBM software. I've got a recovery disc with all of the IBM goodies that came on it.

Can I install parts of it without affecting my OS and other things that I've put on the current HD, or will I need to format it first and lose everything?

The recovery disk will wipe out everything that already exists on the hard drive. During the installation process, you will be told that and have to confirm by pressing the "Y" key. If that's not acceptable, then the best thing that you can do is go to the software/drivers site and grab what you need:
