TP 600X Video-out port

#1 Post by hjanzen » Sat Nov 15, 2008 4:54 am

The video out port on a TP 600X is a very peculiar one and a standard plug cannot be found at the regular parts shops as far as I know.
In my TP 770 user manual I have a picture of a DVD Enhanced Video Adapter, showing the video in and out ports of this device.
On the picture they look similar to the one of the TP 600X.
Can anyone confirm that these ports are identical, meaning that a TP 770 video out to S-video adapter would also fit in a TP 600X?
Hans

I don't know if this helps, but I have a video out cable left over from when I was a 600 user. It has a very small round connection (about 1/8 inch diameter) for the laptop and an RCA yellow video connection together with a four-pin S-video out at the other end. It is labeled IBM P/N 85G1880 FRU P/N 85G1897.

I also have a second cable that has no identification P/N but has a connector at the laptop end that looks like the connection that the 600 used for a floppy and at the other end L/R audio and yellow video RCA connections as well as the S-video.

Would either of these be what you're looking for?

This FRU will also work with 770 - see here http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site. ... TRTM7.html

Thanks Uwe , but in fact my question was just the other way around: does the 770 video adapter fit in the 600X....
In the meantime I found out thanks to RRHODY.
It fits!
