DVD Express

#1 Post by jkc » Fri Jan 14, 2005 4:07 pm

Can somebody please help. I have been trying to get DVD Express to run on Win98se, 600e. At one time it did run but now all I get is a crash and invalid fault in module allnode.dll. I have updated with the update from IBM and that did no good. Everytime I try to run it crashes. Everything else works great.

I never did like DVD Express and so I uninstalled it. I much prefer Power DVD and have that running on all of my machines.

I tried power dvd and it locks up with no message. I also tried windvd and it says it cannot find my dvd drive. The machine has a dvd-rom drive and it is recognized in win98se. Any suggestions. thanks

Can you look in device manager and see if there is an error code? Similar things happened to me when I installed EZ-CD Creator and then uninstalled it. Did you happen to do that? Microsoft has some information on their site on how to edit your registry in this case and make things normal again.

thanks for the response. there are no errors in device manager. I do think however they may be some conflict occurring in the registry, I just don't know where.

I got it working finally. There was a conflict with other software. When I removed it everything worked fine. Thanks
