It runs at a good speed (5% slower then windows 98) and now devices are easier then ever to configure on it.

(ps, i am running a windows shell manager called litestep, hence the odd looking gui)

I always thought XP required 96mb of RAM. And you say it runs only 5% slower than Windows 9x, maybe if and when I get around to buying more RAM for my 380ED I'll try the same. I really shouldn't be that surprised though, I've pulled off a Windows 2003 Server installation on a Pentium MMX 166 desktop with 128mb RAM a while back, and it actually ran quite fine.

with shell running or not, it would seem that the 380 would struggle with XP. I'd make sure and disable all programs at start-up as possible.

I'll believe someone who says the 380ED runs XP fine, but what I don't beleive at all is the few people who have tried and succeding at getting XP on their 760 computers.
