I'm trying a SYSBA CF to IDE adapter with Ridata 16GB flash card in my Thinkpad 1200-1161 210.
So far the results have not been good. When I boot the laptop basically nothing happens. I see the BIOS boot screens, then it just sits there with a flashing curser.
When I select F1 during boot to go in the BIOS menu, the CF card shows up as the hard disk and it lists the capacity, which means the EIDE controller is seeing the card.
What I don't understand it doesn't even attempt a boot from CD (which is first in the boot order) or give me a operating system missing message, nothing...
I put the original hard disk back and used a USB CF adapter as a method to restore the ghost disk image of the current HD to the CF device in the hopes that the BIOS would see an operating system on the card and boot. But that had no effect on the issue.
Any ideas? Might a BIOS upgrade help or am I just done?
