600 battery stops charging, then eventually restarts

I bought a new battery from my 600's (e & x) about a year ago from China. It worked without problem for 8 months or so. Then it suddenly stopped charging altogether and I threw it in a corner. When I finally got to throwing it out I tried it once more and it charged and worked well for a time, but then the problem began again. My unconfirmed hypothesis is that has to be drained utterly (or nearly) before it can be restored again. Does nayone have any experience with this situation and can you make any recommendations?

I would say throw it out...Off brand batteries have a history of exploding and if it's acting up i would toss it like it was covered with the black plauge
