Hi,
I'm looking for a compatible 32bit PCI-VGA-card for the 600x with SelectaDock III to improve the graphicspeed with the external monitor.
Which cards are highly recommend?
Uwe.

You can check out my list of cards here:
Selectadock III - Unofficial Graphics Card Compatibility List
I'm typing on a 600X in a SelectaDock II with Voodoo 5 5500 (64MB), which mostly works great, except when trying to play compressed videos (DivX, Xvid, etc.). The Voodoo 5 does not have mpeg/DVD hardware acceleration, and somehow the PCI bus also seems to clog up a bit with data or something sometimes when playing video. I also notice this when playing YouTube videos: it is better for me to play them through my 600X without the SelectaDock+VideoCard.
For playing games, however, it is pretty good, especially for those games designed for the now defunct 3dfx Glide hardware api instead of the later, now standard, OpenGL or DirectX. Also, I've found that if you run Win98, then that seems to get rid of some of the slowdowns (once you manage to configure all your IRQs correctly), and again, for games, you can probably achieve the best performance that way.
I believe that someone who wanted to do some modding or more extensive testing could probably get a later nVidia card to work, but I couldn't get anything better than a TNT2 to work stably.
From what I can tell, if you can get a card to work with any 600E,X or 770E,ED,X,Z, then it will almost assuredly work with any of the other machines in that list.
I would welcome information about anyone else's experience trying to get various PCI video cards to work in the SelectaDockIII.
Phil.
