Sadly, Lenovo has dropped all support for these old machines. (I have a 750P that has likewise been dropped.)
You may still be able to find drivers, but it's difficult and will require sleuthing on your part. You may be able to install Win95, since it can use DOS and Win3.1 drivers, but anything newer will likely not run well at all.
I'd suggest a small Linux distribution for general purpose use, just as [censored] Small Linux or Puppy Linux.

www.murga-linux.com/puppy/ is the forum for Puppy Linux users.
Besides the main stem Puppy Linux 4.1.2, there are derivatives that may work better for your laptop.

As a Linux for this kind of machine (I myself had a 340CSE for quite some time) I suggest
DeLi Linux.
You don't really need drivers for that machine, except the VGA card.

Now is the time to try something new.
What do you have to lose? And Linux does offer the functionality like Ethernet and wireless that most people want these days with these old laptops.
There are alot of beginners with Puppy Linux, and the people at that forum are very helpful just liket this one.

That's a nice thought, but I doubt you have a license to distribute those copyrighted files.
It's probably best they not be posted anywhere public.
If permission could be obtained, it would be great to put them somewhere like here, or ThinkWiki.

The above mentioned softwares were available as free download from
WWW.IBM.COM and were downloaded during the year 2004 and those old softwares were removed from the web site during 2005. Since the question of license came at this stage I am not williing to share any more.

Since those files fit on a floppy disk, they can be emailed.
At this late stage, I highly doubt IBM is going to raise a big ruckus if you shared those files with fellow TP340 owners. They probably removed those files because they didn't want to support the TP340 anymore. The laptops are so ancient that they don't even consider them useful and useable.
