No video corruption on 770Z after PowerStrip install.

Some weeks ago I installed Powerstrip on my 770Z which is riding on a P-III 850 MHz@700 MMC-2.
I needed to control output from the VGA-port.
As time went by, I noticed that the video corruption is gone.
Not once has it occured since installation of PowerStrip.
I don't know why or how it works, but it just does.
My OS is Windows 2000.

By "powerstrip" I assume you mean the thing with 6-8 outlets to plug it into. This won't help much when it's running on batteries, but it does suggest that the problem is some kind of lousy ground connection. That shouldn't be to hard to find and fix.
On the other hand, you are using the word "Powerstrip" as if it was a title, implying that you have installed some kind of software...

Don't ask me why or how it works.
It looks as if it's controlling or handling the videoboard, perhaps on top of the original IBM videodriver or in combination with it.
Early conclusion: It looks as if it's the driver from IBM, that causes the corruption.

It works on my father's Thinkpad 770x with Pentium III 700 Mhz. I booted almost twenty times (even with different combinations of battery / AC adapter installed / not installed) to verify this, because I could not believe it at first. Seems that this issue is finally resolved.
