Hello.

Is there an option to increase the brightness of the LCD?
I replaced my screen, and it seems to me that it is too dark.

Thank you all.

Are you going to tell us the model of Thinkpad you have, or is this a test of our ESP abilities?

Try holding down the <Fn> key while pressing the key with the 'sun' symbol on it a few times. Doesn't change much tho, not like the brightness on a TV screen...

Hi

I have a simple 600 TP. It has a slider to control the brightness of the screen. Obvious that I tried it!!
Can it be because of the fact that my new screen is refurbished? I hope not.

Is there any change in the display's brightness as you move the slider?

There's nothing obvious about asking "Is there an option to increase the brightness of the LCD?" beyond the fact that you apparently don't know how to do so.

James

Hi.

There is a change as I move the slider. BUT it seems to me that the maximum is not as it was before.

Balsam, are you running it on AC or on battery? If on battery, it might be that you don't have it set for high brightness in the Configuration Utility. Start it up and look at power management section, the display section and the LCD section. I've forgotten just where it is but I had a similar problem. Hope it helps. :)

Thank you, but the problem occurs when I use the AC power.
