Thinkpad240, save2dsk.bin & reboot... HELP!

#1 Post by Thinkpad240_user » Mon Feb 07, 2005 10:53 am

Dear All,

I removed the "save2dsk.bin" file from a Thinkpad 240 (400MHz) because I read somewhere it was not needed unless the "hibernation" option was been used and at ~145 MB I can really use that disk room!

After that I have been unable to reboot the notebook and I do not have an emergency floppy...

Any help on how to fix the problem and/or get the emergency boot diskette would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks a thon!

Hi,

What version of win are you using?

In win 9x you can get an startup disk from other computer using same version, or from bootdisk.com, or from the microsoft.com.

Hello Oski,

Thanks for the bootdisk.com info. Didn't know the site before but I got what I needed there.

Thinkpad 240 is up and running again!!
