760 Series User Manual.......
760 Series User Manual.......
I have gone through all the posts in this legacy category, and all the links to IBM for downloading say that the info can't be found. Has IBM removed these?
I would like to find a user manual (not repair) for the 760 Series, ie-760e and 760el.
Would anyone happen to know where (and if) these are available?
Thanks

Go to IBM's support site and type into the search box on the front page of the support site the model nuber of oyur laptop (e.g. 760E) then hit enter. You should be able to find the user manual in the list of files, but if not, PM me and I'll attempt to email it to you.

AK47, it appears you haven't tried to do this. IBM has removed easy access to the older ThinkPads. The 380 and 770 are the oldest you can access by that method.
I found a link to the guid you're looking for, but it's broken. Here the source, in case they fix it:
http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site. ... MIGR-44877
Here's the big link to the 760EL/ELD stuff: http://www.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/ ... idate=true
The 760E stuff appears even harder to find. Look around, though.

That's odd, just weeks ago, for my 760E I did the same thing I suggested and got everything I needed. I guess that IBM realized that there were still ways to get help on older products on their site and acted promptly to fix that.
Well, it seems IBM's support is prompt, prompt to leave people hanging in the dust.
