Ultrabay Battery

#1 Post by NautTboy » Wed Sep 16, 2009 6:56 pm

I was wondering could the ultrabay battery replaced any optical drive? I did a search here and someone mentioned thinkwiki.org, but on the website they said i1200/i1300 optical drive is not removable, untrue.
I have i1200/i1300 model 1171.
240x, 500Mhz 192mb
390x, 300Mhz 128mb, bad kb.
600x, 500Mhz 256mb
i1400 2621 433Mhz 256mb
770x, 300Mhz 128mb

Perhaps it's removable, but is it designed to swapped?

once the drive has been removed from the bay, look down
inside. If on the right you see 5 small gold-colored metal fingers,
grouped 4-black plastic-1, then you can use an ultrabay battery.
If no fingers, no joy.
