How to load DVDExpress and the other drivers on a 770ED

#1 Post by reset » Mon Feb 14, 2005 9:21 pm

As referenced in my other recent post I will soon be replacing my hard drive. A couple of years ago on the old forum I posted a question about playing DVDs on a 770ED. At that time I received a response from someone who allowed me to download his copy of DVDExpress and gave explicit instructions on the proper order of installing the software, it's update and other drivers. After following his directions I had perfect playback of many a movie. I have asked Bill to look in the archives to find this post but he has not been able to find them. Would any of you other Thinkpad gurus be able to enlighten me as to the correct procedure.
As always I am in your debt.

Geez,I can't quite remember....I believe it was....newest video driver...Original DVDExpress....mpeg feature drivers....Update for DVDExpress...then the Mpeg feature drivers again(as they get corrupted with the update)....

Thats for 95-98,but if you use 2000,or XP,you just install the 2000 driver for the Mpeg features, and use windows media player to watch DVD's....works perfect...!!!

Hope this helps....I THINK thats the right order..!!!

Later...
