ThinkPad 560x hdd cable replacement issue

#1 Post by sb102 » Mon Nov 09, 2009 6:56 pm

Hello,

I had just bought a second-hand ThinkPad 560x and want to make it operable. But there is one major problem - as I opened it up to put a HDD, I found that someone had devastated the HDD connector (it was probably cut in half). Unable to find a proper replacement I found a ThinkPad 770 hdd connector (looks very similar). So the question is: can I use that one instead of a cable that is designed for a 560 ? Or perhaps someone has a spare and would like to sell it to me ?

Thanks for all your help.
